What is the cause of ADHD? | ADHD Information

I don't know the statistics but ADHD can be hereditary. Chances of our children getting it is just as good as any other traits. It can also be derived from brain injuries in infancy; poor diet; insufficient crawling .. or at least is often seen as ADHD.What is the cause of ADHD. Is it hereditary? If so what is the percentage of passing that on to your children?Wow, that is very interesting. Do you keep doing the exercise after 6 months and how long do you crawl for when you are doing it?[QUOTE=triche]What is the cause of ADHD. Is it hereditary? I don't think they know for sure, but I can tell you I'm ADHD and have two grandchildren who are also.  I don't know who had it before that.  I guess it could have been my grandmother on my dad's side.  They always said I was like her and she was always doing something that seemed adled.  By the way her maiden name was Cynthia Tweedle.  However I don't know if she had the hyper part  and I did get it big time.

If it is a gene then it can skip generations, so it's hard to pinpoint.

Thanks

According to my favorite ADHD book, Stopping ADHD, it is caused by a reflex in your body that was never matured as a baby.  You have to crawl for 6 months and do it properly (no leg dragging, etc) or else this reflex sticks with you and bothers you to the point that you are uncomfortable sitting for longer periods of time.  Kids sit on their legs, stand up, stretch their arms out, wrap their legs around the chair legs to stop this reflex from urging them to spring forward.

You can do the crawling exercises in the book and mature the reflex and your ADD symptoms go away.

I tried it, and it works.  The book is only .00 and it has all the exercises in it that you need.  You don't need to purchase anything else.

I believe that this book is right.  I think it will ultimately work its way to the top of every doctor's prescribed treatment list - unless some of the trolls are right out there and the pharmacuetical companies control everything.
