I just got back from the pharmacy and have to wait an hour. It appears that thru our medical plan at work (and most other medical plans thru a workplace) that I'm too old for Concerta to be covered by the insurance.

Do people not realize that this doesn't only affect kids under 18 years old? And then on top of that it's listed as a tier 3 drug, which is the most expensive. The pharmacy is contacting my insurance company to see if they can get an override done, but I doubt that will happen. I can at least say I'm having no lack of concentration with my anger towards the insurance company right now.

Sorry to whine. I really needed to get that off my chest.

A truely disgruntled and angry,
Kevin

Here's a good one. My doc wanted me to try adderall XL, and  I wasn't sure how it would  work for me & also the expense. I was given a card for a 30 day free supply. When i activated the card, i also said i would answere some questions that were optional. Thefirst question was "what is the date of birth of your child?" How narrow minded! Anyway I got it filled with no problem. I'm still not sure if it's right for me. (dosen't last long)

And come to think of it, i don't think my insurance covers concerta AT ALL. When i was first dx'ed, i wanted to try it. Lord only knows how much that would cost

So your insurance has taught you to hyperfocus! Thats a great way to look at it!
