people on this site tend to be very honest about both the pros and the cons and in fact their whole experience. i don't think anyone could find a better site out there....
this site is open, friendly, non-judgemental, supportive and what is best it is a forum that allows those with a whole whack load of experience of different medications --- personal experience of how it directly affected them - what helped, what made it worse, what made things better and you know i would far rather listen to normal boring people, with no agenda, who had direct experiences to tell --- than a panel load of experts any day!
experts can be paid off, on either side pretty much, to say what whoever is paying them wants them to say. they don't even take the medications themselves.
far better to communicate with others who are on the same or similar medication and ask them directly - if you have a question. you can't accuse many people taking the meds here of being anti-med but they will still honestly talk about the negative side-effects they had coming off Effexor or 'brain zaps' - things that many MDs won't even acknowledge exist. they also mention the positives, the way adderall or similar has turned their life around. they can function, hold a job, keep a marriage together, be a productive member of a society rather than another statistic of a homeless f**k up.
great site to come to.
sorry can't answer your question because not on meds myself but am sure someone will be able to answer your query - just hang in there and ignore those who are off on their own little personal ego trips - it's boring but it's there.

I just started taking Concerta last week. Started with 18mg and just Sat. worked up to 36mg. Today would be third day on 36mg. I hadn't really noticed any major difference other than a feeling of calm, my head doesn't feel like it's a hampster wheel. Today I really started to notice the loss of appetite (that side affect I'll keep thank you) But started to notice heart burn too. Could that be from not eating much? Now I am having bizarre shoulder pain. Not chest pain, and not just on one side. It's right in the middle of my back between my shoulder blades and will shoot out to the sides occaisionally. Anything to do with Concerta? Refferred pain from somewhere else?
