cant get my 8 year old to take pills | ADHD Information

Hi, I had to give my 5 year old his first does of Wellbutrin today.  After about an hour, I put it in a tiny bit of ice cream and told him to keep it on his tongue (like a pill) and take a big gulp of water with his head back..it worked!!  The key, I think,, is the water with it.  It just makes it slide down..good luck

We fill the prescription at a standard pharmacy that is covered by our insurance and then take the pills over to a compounding pharmacy on the other side of town where they turn it into a flavored liquid.  Search for a compounder pharmacy in your area.

mom with first timmer on meds ever, need help.   I was sooo surprised to learn that this medication taken primarily by kids, only comes in pill form.  My Eight year old son was prescribed strattera on monday for the first time. I have spent hours tring to get him to take these meds,  I hope someone can help!!!!!

My daughter who is 6 1/2 started Strattera 4 weeks ago. To help her get the pill down, I let her choose whatever she wanted: pudding, whipped cream, applesauce , yogurt on a teaspoon with the capsule in it. She swallows it down pretty effortlessly.
