Hey Sabrina,
If you really think you have a problem paying attention in school look into seeing a psychologist. Adderall and other ADHD medications, however, are not the end-all be-all of bad grades. If you feel liek you are putting in your share of studying and dedication to school work and you still cannot focus then look into it. IM not one to suggest disobeying your parents but consider talking to your school counselors if your parents still disagree. IF you are still adamant abotu getting checked out... you don't have to be 18 nor do you need a guardian to see a psychologist. Becareful with Adderall though, I was in high school when I first started adderall and then and now it has become a huge drug issue between regular abuse and drug dealing. Adderall has also been known to cause other psychological issues ranging from anxiety to depression. Again, I don't mean to sound judgemental but make sure you take a good look at your study habits before you jump to conclusions. Diagnosing and dealing with ADHD can be a long and difficult process sometimes best avoided if you don't really have it. I know a handful of my friends that jumped on medications just to avoid having to study more... sometimes those are the people with the worst side-effects. Good luck to you... if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me.
Hi Everybody
My name is Sabrina and I think I have problems with paying attention (only in school). Lately I have been getting some pretty bad grades (2 FAILS and 1 D). My friend who has ADD said her doctor told her about a med called Adderall and its for people who have ADHD. I have also heard other stories about Adderall. I have read about it and I am trying to convince my mom in letting me get it. I know its a prescription drug but I was wondering if anyone could give me some real information about the drug. Thanks to anyone who reads this.
