Interesting

I have a work college (sp ck)  I noticed he had MANY symptoms of ADHD.  I never mentioned this cause, well, it's none of my biz.  I had mentioned once to him that I took Strattera for ADHD.  Two days ago he called me (I'm an "outside" sales rep...ie, I got to accounts all day and don't work in an office).  So, he calls me and wants to meet about "business plans" for the coming year.  I get there and he is like "dude, i'm so sorry to do this to you...but, I knew you are taking Strattera (I was when I told him...I now take Ritalin LA).  He mentioned asked how I managed to do so well at work with ADHD...cause he had it as well (worse I think).  We had a very frank discussion.  He is a recovering alcoholic....and said he find great comfort in finding others with problems like his and wanted my take on this and how to overcome ADHD.  His Dr told him Ritalin was a "childs" drug and put him on Strattera.  I GAWFED.  Told him "bulsh*t".  I LOVE Ritalin LA.  Saved my ass.  Told him to go see his DR NOW and explain.  He is SCARED of the whole "when will I get fired or mess up cause I always do and have to move on" syndrome".  I told him to TELL his DR what he wanted to try (thanks to you guys....splaining that to others who's doctors try and tell THEM what to do).  SOOOOo, he got a scrip for Ritalin LA.  I gave him some of mine yesterday (20mgs) and he loved it.  He got his own yesterday and took it. He said his day was fabulous.  Got more done in one day then a whole month.  I'm so excited for him. He will do sooo well.  Great guy he is and I feel happy it worked for him.
