High Anxiety Child

My son is 8 year's-old and has a lot of anxiety. My pediatrician is wonderful and has explained that a lot of the things that Richie goes through is just another symptom of ADHD. He has made tremendous strides in the last year since we started Concertta, but he still tends to cry VERY easily, and is a very sensitive kid. There is not a mean bone in his body but I worry so much at how sensitive he really is. He doesn't like to talk about anything that bothers him, which is what makes him an intravert.  Anyone have this problem of anxiety with there kids?

.IMac38947.8536574074Thank you for that. He actually is very intuitive and sensitive, as are you.Oh my !  I was reading this post aloud to my husband.  He goes, "Is that your post?"  Noooo...but sounds EXACTLY like our son.  He took Adderall for about 2 years, then we switched him to Daytrana due to the difficulty in getting him to take a pill....even though I would crush it for him everyday and put it in chocolate milk.  Brandon has severe anxiety issues about me leaving the house...even though daddy is home.  He falls apart if he has any accidents or accidentally breaks, drops, spills something...we are not harsh with him.  Accidents happen.  We know that.  He is really hard on himself.  I wonder about depression.  But I'm not sure.  Is the medicine to blame?  We didn't give him meds over summer break...he just started taking them again about a week ago.  And I have to say, his emotions have been worse since school has started this fall.
