when is enough and time to switch | ADHD Information
Dukefan,
Sometimes things require more than one trip or one medication trial to see.
Like anything in life, stay the course and go with extreme caution.
Thank you for your input, the fraud is the problem, they need to go far
away and leave us alone who are dealing with the issues at hand

Dukefan,
Most people on these boards would not be satisifed until your child
is taking as many drugs as there are in alphabet, so be very careful
here.

defient..it comes with some children who have adhd and a bit of odd.. stand firm on the fits..we totally don't tolerate them here and have ds go and collect himself if he tries to throw one..be consistant..these children are somewhat normal as well and will still try to get their way..but are a bit more defient than the average child. My ds's ped likes to give the concerta and the time release metadate(which ds is on) so they only have to take it once a day int he morning..I noticed 3 days into ds's meds that it was a huge help for him.. good luck and I say give it a tryMy son is taking ritalin 3 times a day, 7.5 mg in the am, 5mg @ 11, 5mg
2:00, i think that at night he is coming down and is very defiant. My
ped said that we should think of alternatives like concerta, what does
this matter? will it be an all day med or is this something that I need
to work with at home, he is fine when he is doing what he wants but as
soon as I ask him something else a wholy fit breaks out. Help any
advice is helpful. Ped wants to do probally 18 mg of concerta. he is 7
I can relate our son wants his way all the time. As soon as you tell him something he doesn't like that's all when it starts. This has been that way since he was a infant. I say look into another dx. We are?[QUOTE=ADHDisFraud]

That is a very bold and ugly statement to make. why would you say such a thing?

All of the amphetamine-based drugs that are now sold as "ADHD medications" have serious side affects including addiction. Unless your child is very tall and very heavy, it sounds like this is a very high dose in any case. It sounds as though you may have been drawn into the ADHD industry's culture net. Remember, there is nothing abnormal about a 7 year old boy being active, and yes, even defiant. This used to be considered normal American boyhood, but now the American Psychiatric Association has defined boyhood and called it a disease -- ADHD. I suggest that you do some thorough research online and I think you will discover as so many others have that there is no such thing as a disease called ADHD. This "diagnosis" came from the same people who used to commit women for PMS, perform labotomies, electric shock treatments, and countless other abuses over past decades. Consider the source!!!
Good luck to you and your son.
