UPDATE CONCERNING FREE MEDSI hope you get help in whatever form it comes. Just knowing you have ADHD is good - and from there you can get help! Weight loss if the med is given in ADHD dosages is typically short-term. It's one of the reasons they no longer prescribe amphetamines for weight loss (you need to take dangerously high doses to keep losing weight). It's all due to lack of appetite so the trick is to time your meals as best you can and MAKE yourself eat. And don't get into the trick of starving to lose weight that eventually defeats the purpose. And - best of luck! Hey Everyone. How are we all doing out there? Just wanted to update you on the meds that I've been trying to get for free as I do not have insurance or money at this particular moment in my life. It seems that I can't get any meds here in the near future as I had hoped. The processing time is two to three weeks! I really need Ritalin, to me, a miracle drug. My doctor is trying (or so she says) to get me Ritalin for free through some state program but that is slow to go as well. Geez Louise, what can I do but wait and make due with Strattera for my ADHD which I feel may not really be helping me. I think it's causing me to lose wieght. By the way, does anyone know if it makes you lose or gain? Please let me know, I asked this before and got no response. Anyway, good luck to all. |
