I have trouble with mixing meds until one specific trouble is worked on successfully. Sometimes they mix meds for ADHD but typically that's when all other single meds are exhausted as options.
60mg is awfully high if you've only been on a while. It should be upped slowly as it wanes in effect - typically over a year or more. I believe (correct me people if I'm wrong) that adderall is much like dexedrine in dosing and that 10mg or so is a smallest dosage. The MD/psych should start lowest and work up until it continues to work but has the least side effects. Overdosing on adderall will cause a "crash" after wearing off - which hardly ever happens at lower dosages.
Perhaps consult with MD about dropping down to lowest - and staying there around a month. Then - if it stays good leave it or if it's faded in effect move up in 10mg increments.
Also - there is dexedrine and ritalin, et al to consider. If your depression isn't chronic but mild the meds you are taking should increase your happiness and attitude enough that you may not even need anything else.
Do check with MD before deciding anything. And best of luck from me!
Wellbutrin is a stimulating anti-depressant, and generally speaking, it would probably help your ADD...... it may increase the longevity of the Adderall. It depends on your bio-chemistry as to whether you should/shouldn't continue the Lexapro. Some people can take Wellbutrin and it really helps their depression, while with others it doesn't. So, it just depends on your own reaction. There is also the possibility that you could take all 3 drugs..........
Thanks alot for the advice I really appreciate it. I am going to my MD in a week so I'll tell her whats going on and see what she thinks I should do.
