Remeron? | ADHD Information

chloe, My son doesn't take Remeron but he does take Lexapro for his ADHD which is also an antidepressant.  I have also seen some negative things about these new generation Antidepressants.  I take some of it with a grain of salt although I don't think any drug is a panacea.  The one story I remember was about these drugs causeing suicide in teenagers who had been diagnosed them for depression.  Somehow they didn't factor in that these kids had depression to start with and blamed everything on the drugs.  My son has benefited from this drug.  Mostly with his self esteem and an added benefit is it helps with compulsions.  -Gettingagrip-

Remeron...... it helps with appetitie and sleep.  It is a anti-depressant.  We used it for awhile with his concerta, my 11 yr old is 55 lbs. :(

I read bad things about kids on these anti depressants and stopped giving it to him.  I'm tired of drugging him up, although....I may be back down this road, we never know.

Anyone else been prescribed this for an adhd child??
