Hi does anyone take this combo of Adderall XR and Clonidine? My 16 yr old son takes this combo for ADHD & OCD among a few other issues. Just wondering if anyone else is on these meds? Also last May was put on Effexor for depression, which I dont really see.

I am on clonidine and xr. many of us are. My daughter was just put on this combination. She has been on Addreall XR for 5 years and just in the last few we need sleep help. We tried Trazadone but made her heart race and scared her. So we were switched just a few days ago to clonidine. I am hoping this will help still to soon to tell.60 mg a day? How much clonidine?My 19 year old took Adderall 60 mg a day for 11 years and Clonidine was the only thing to get him to sleep. I lowers blood pressure.

Trazadone is terrible!!!!!!!!!!!! It gave me horrible nightmares. I would awake in such a fright I was affraid to open my eyes, and it would take me about 30 minutes just to open my eyes and get out of bed. Remeron is an anti-dep with a sedative feeling (no not a buzz or a high) it just makes you feel good the next day and you sleep great, but I say this in almost every post, we are all different.I get high blood pressure from my adderall and my doctor wanted to switch me to concerta first before giving me clonidine. My blood pressure is still around 140/80 on the concerta. The Adderall worked much better so I'm hoping I can go back on the Adderall with clonidine and it will lower my blood pressure. My doctor acts like he doesn't want to do that and I'm not sure why. I guess I'll see what he says. I take colonodine,adderol,and effexor.the effexor normely is not a good mix with any med that up's your blood pressure but the colonodine and any add/adhd medication work's really well.colonodine actually slow's the brain process down therefore it slow's down everything, including blood pressure.so it way,way countereffect's the adderol/concerta whatever it may be you take for a.d.d. so it is perfect to go to sleep,when youre mind is still going..
