I know what you mean! Its so hard to make yourself do anything and when it is as frustrating as insurance paperwork or jub hunting, I can put it off forever.
That is great coming from a former insurance sales person doesn't it! I have the blessing of not being able to drag any of that knowledge out of recall now. I think I have a huge permanent storage facility where my brain is. I just can't find the key to remove everything I put in there. If I could, I would be too ADD to bother searching through it anyway! (sigh)
Hey Cheeky,
Do you have someone you know who is really good at organizing, contacting, mailing, and that sort of thing? If you do know someone, maybe you could swap something with them that you do well.
They could help you organize your job search and read through insurance papers, and you could do something for them that they have trouble with.
trying to find a job... haha. that takes months.luckily my natural good looks and my dumb blonde attitude got me a good man to support me . He does have shocking eyesight however.
I applied for a job the other day - but I was too lazy to browse and find my cv and attach it - so i just sent a note saying how great I was and if they want my cv they can ask me! -
What a pain...I need to find a new job and a new insurance plan. That's hard enough for a normal person but I just don't have the concentration to do it. If the employer allows emails I always go that route, otherwise I may never mail it at all if I don't have stamps on hand.
Looking for new insurance...I DO NOT have the concentration it takes to read through detailed brochure after brochure without feeling mentally exhausted afterward. America's economy is so lousy and when you have ADHD it's even worse.

I know, dependency is no fun.
But something like this may be good once in a while for specific things like a job search, or doing taxes (its not like having someone else pay your bills and do your shopping).
If you can pay someone or exchange some kind of service or help, than it is more like a business deal. It really is no different than using an executive search firm or an employment agency.
Anyway, good luck no matter how you do it!
