Hello everyone!! I'm new here. Actually I'm new to allot of things. I'm 26 and recently my husband came to me with the impression that I may have ADD. He has been holding this from me for a while. I also work with a group of physicians and one of them made a comment to me a while back. I took the extra step by making my appointment to see my doctor (which is tonight). I'm extremely nervous. I have taken several ADD quizzes to see how I add up and I’m off the charts!! My husband pointed out several things that I do that helped me take these extra steps. But…. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce my self.
Welcome!
And good luck with your testing!

Hey everybody! This news just in…. I saw my doctor last night and I was in fact diagnosed with ADHD. I do have many mixed feelings at the moment. I’m sad that I found out so late and that I could have been much more. On the other hand, I feel so good to know that I’m not just “stupid” as I was referred to in school. My physician put me Adderall 10mg to start. Considering all this is VERY new to me, any helpful advice or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks to everyone on the wonderful feed back and welcoming me to the forum. I needed that.
Krsytal, I know the feeling about wanting to do much more (I'm 29), but look on the bright side. We're both still young, with many years of possibilities ahead, now we know what's wrong with us.Hi Krystal,
I'm new here too. It's a good place to be. You still have plenty of time to be all that you want to be. Think of your diagnosis as a turn in the road, one leading to bigger horizons! Lots of luck and God Bless!

Krystal,
Welcome to the forum.
Could I suggest that your diagnosis may come as a relief, rather than a shock. All those problems which are suddenly explained! At last a chance to get relief, and to at least know that thi is not a fatal or terminal condition. From what I've read on the forum, with the right treatment, your symptoms can be massively reduced.
I'm just glad for you that you have been able to get an appointment tonight. Here in the UK, it takes many months to get anywhere.

WELCOME!
You found the right place!
Hi Krystal,
Welcome.
If it turns out you do have ADHD (let us know what the doctor says, if you feel comfortable), as you can see you're not alone. If you don't, hopefully you will discover what is going on.
