Anyone heard of celexa?? hi, i am currently on celexa for ocd and depression and found it works very well. it doesnt make me "high" or "happy" it gets rid of my condition...feeling perhaps a bit flat? its not too bad...but im on a much higher dose than your son 40 mg.Hi, My 5 yo son has sensory integration disorder and depression and possibly mild ADHD. (impulsivity). We just saw a neurodevelopmental ped and he prescribed wellbutrin. I wont bore you all with the details, but he could not swallow the pill after 5 frustrating days. He just switched him to celexa (10ML) and says that will treat the depression. He wants to keep him on this for awhile and then possibly add ritalin for the other symptoms. Has anyone heard of celexa?? I live near a big city and my pharmacist had to order it, she didn't stock it... Thanks!! I was on celexa for a while but I didnt like it. I wont go into details I dont want to worry you unnecessarily as side effects can differ widly from person to person. I will say that, as anyone who takes meds for depression can tell you, "comming down" from an antidepressant can sometimes be hard. With Celexa I would crash HARD if I was only an hour or two late taking my pill, and if I missed one all together It REALLY sucked. Celexa is the only antidepressant that did that to me, that badly anyways. It also had wicked bad sexual side effects which isnt a concern for him, BUT FYI for anyone else concidering it. My son is on Lexapro, which is a form of Celexa but the way the Dr. Described it to me was it took out a lot of the additives that were in celexa so it is safer. He is on 5mg and we have seen improvement. He is diagnosed with Depressive Disorder and ADHD. |
