Problems getting refill when traveling | ADHD Information
Its been quite a trip, but i shall try to sum it up short like. I live in oregon, have a family doctor that writes the rx every month. My boyfriend that i live with works for the railroad, so he was going to a job in florida and that was suppose to last 2 months. So i called my doctor, she told me to just get established with another doctor up in florida. Upon arriving to florida, the woman who hired the boyfriend, fired him for calling an hour late (oh yes, this makes him unreliable, forget that he just drove across the country. We had the clocks set to central still) anyway, on the way to florida, i left the rx in a hotel room, of course they claim it was never found, so i went to the er and got a temp refill.
So noooow we are up in mississpi where a different companys main office is, well my rx ran out today had to go to er and get another temp since there was no time to make an appointment. And Now we are being transfered down to Alabama, to their other office.
Anyway, so all of these er visits are really making me look like an addict or something. Doctors act if im trying to just get my fix or something. Is it going to be like that if i get established in alabama? I mean, does anyone else run into this?
Or does anyone have tips for a certin type of doctor to go to? Right now i just go to a family doctor. Im just nervous about how the er visits make me look, and a bit worried they wont write the script.
Oh i forgot to mention, i did try to go to family clinics before every er visit, they all told me to go to er. Im not going ot be back in oregon for 3 more months, i cant just keep going to er lol.
This thread from last week is about the same issue.

They can get your records from your last doctor if there is a problem. Hopefully that would settle the matter.
