Watching DVDs on fast mode | ADHD Information

I have a JVC DVD player.  If I hit fast forward once while watching a show, I can still hear what is being said.  I love this feature but it now drives me crazy to sit thorugh DVDs at normal speed.I only do it when the movie is boring and I want to JUST GET THROUGH IT, or if I've seen it before and want to experience it again, but in half the time.

Actually that drives me nuts!  I'm a movie nut (well right up til I got way too busy LOL) and there is a certain timing to movies.  You take away the timing and many movies don't have the same feel.  Take "Blade Runner" for example.  It is slow for a reason - trying to give it the gritty private dick of the 40s feel.  And they time compressed it on TV and it was very different!  It took away some of the suspence and feel that it had.  I didn't like that.  They compress them lately a lot and it's not supposed to be noticable but I see it when its there.

I sometimes fast forward a movie I don't care for - or through a spot that is uncomfortable for me to watch.  But when it's something I love I give it my 100 percent.  Never was affected by my ADHD thankfully!

I did, I don't, I will.

I used to, forgot about doing it, now will do it again.

Thanks.

I wish I didn't, but I totally do this even on movies where I would like to sit down and watch the whole thing. I slow it down if there is a scene that looks interesting, but then just fast forward it again and call it good. Even in fast mode, it's too slow and I fast forward to the end and fill in the missing parts by making up what had happened to get them there!
