matadate CD | ADHD Information

Hi am new to this message board and I will like to know if anyone have ever used

matadate cd. my 6 year old son was just diagnose  with ADDHD and is doctor is

trying to find the right kind of meds.  He tried adderall xr 10 Mg and with in 30 min

my son started to get sleepy and fell asleep but he tested way better when he got

up. The doctor thought may be 10Mg was too much so he switched to a lower dose

adderall 5Mg. so we gave it to my son the next day it stilled made him sleepy, but

not as bad and he tested better then before so the DR thought the right dose

might be between 10 and 5 Mg. the only thing is addreall dose not make a lower

dose. So the next day he tried the matadate CD 10 Mg well let just say it made

my son hyper and he tested bad.  Dose anyone know anything about this drug.

By the way he is not on it anymore but we will see what med is next…

thats so interesting.  I am on metadate CD and believe it or not, it actually makes me a little sleepy at times.  Its a strange feeling being alert and sleepy at the same time... You would think the two wouldnt go together.

Good luck on your next med trial.  The wait is terrible, but once the right combo of medication, accomodations, and behavioral interventions get together, it is so much worth it!  hang in there!
