ADHD or ADDIn Sweden it's a bit confused. In some places the diagnosis with ADD and somewhere else the same person get ADHD with H as hypo and not hyper. What I know is that we have three types of ADHD: 1) hyperactive, 2) hypoactive as in inattentive and 3) a combined typ of those two. So technical we don't diagnosis with ADD but some acctualy get that diagnosis, confusing. Could someone clear out for me how you do? /Kaks Kaks, This is how it's listed in the DSM-IV (Diagnostic and Statestical Manual of Mental Disorders): Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
So the general term is ADHD, just different types. Some people just say ADD because the (H) component isn't there. It does get confusing. Hope this helps. I have to ask in a Swedish board if ppl really get ADD or mainly say so. Want to know what the papper say. I know, I'm hopeless. When I start thinking of something I have to go to the bottom with it :-) /Kaks |
