Weight gain/loss help!!! | ADHD Information

Hey guys I am new and one thing that scares me from trying yet another ADD med is weight gain. I have been on straterra, concerta and wellbutrin, as well as SSRI's. I have now gained 50 lbs. Is there one that will work great and help me lose this weight? adderall..is what I am thinking. I am considering going to the Doc again. Any advice?Hyper thyroid also will cause weight gain without trying. It is cause improper thyroid function effects brain function and matabolizm. When mine is off I am like in a fog. I am hypothyroid. Our daughter is checked every 6 months. Our son and mom both have the problem. My family has it on both sides. Ive been on Adderall a couple weeks and it has severly suppressed my appetite.  Im forcing food down several times a day. (6-8) High protein, sensible fat/carbs.  I dont make it a habit to weigh myself too much but I have lost weight for sure.  Im not sure what metobolic effect Adderall has on you but my doc told me he expected me to lose weight and he was right but I wouldnt look for an ADD med to lose weight as much as one that doesnt make you gain and helps with your specific symptoms.  I gained weight on Strattera and was only on it for a short period.  It sucked.  Best of luck to you!!!!OMG!...STOP losing weight!!!

I am new to this as well and i  on Adderall, i have lost weight, BUT i was loosing anyway, for the first time in years due to STRESS but my doc told me becasue i asked if it will cause weight gain and or make it difficult to loose as alot of meds do and he said no, infact it may help. (Im ADD/Inattentive)
