Has anyone heard of removing the Heavy Metals from your system to help ADD or ADHD?
I know someone who did it for autism, and it works great. they said that it could also work for ADD ADHD, but i'm new to this and don't want to treat my kids like Guinea Pigs!
My kids have had the Mercury Childhood Vaccinations, slight Lead Poisoning, in the past (my husband does construstion and brings home lead!) and it's said to be in all water, secondhand smoke, and i smoke, and foods, etc.
The little bit of reading i have done on the subject says Heavy Metals can effect all parts of the body, and removing them can lower the effects of many problems like, ADD, ADHD, unexplained raches, hairloss, cancer side effects, heartburn, and many more...Can anything realy help this much!
Please, if you know anything or have tried this already, please don't let me waste my money :)
I have also heard of kids who die from heavy metal chelation so I'd encourage you to proceed with caution.
Because I have 2 kids who suffer from bipolar symptoms, on the advice of a neurologist, our ped tested the urine of both kids for heavy metals. Both kids came back negative so we didn't do anything.
We want to do it cause our son looks dilated all the time. LOOK, LEAD IS EVERYWHERE.

Heavy metals don't cause or aggravate autism OR ADHD!! No relationship whatsoever.
Chelation is an often-fatal "treatment" created by homeopaths that does not only not work - but is a cruel and painful treatment. Chelate comes from the greek word for claw - it literally rips apart the person's blood cells to remove metal from it. Unless you actually know there's metal poisoning (from a test from an actual MD not a homeopath) it's a terrible treatment.
ADHD is a genetic disorder that can't be removed from the blood. It is a biochemical imbalance in the brain that is treated successsfully with medication and cognitive retraining so that the child/adult with ADHD can lead a very normal life.
Stay far and clear from Homeopaths. They are quacks and not involved in science of any valid kind.
