ritalin LA 20 down the road | ADHD Information

FWIW, my son does pretty well on Ritalin LA 20 mg. Good symptom control. No horrible side effects like he has had from Adderall and others.

His quirk with this one is it seems to bring on (or uncover) a mood problem. Very depressed when the med begins to work. Gets better throughout the day.

We have recently added a low-dose SSRI at the same time as the LA, and today was the first day he seemed not to go through the "dip" at all. One week into the SSRI. We'll see.

So, like all of these things, it depends, and you'll probably be tweaking things one way or another at some point.  Hang in there!
My 6 year old son has now started ritalin LA 20mg, just wondering if anyone has experienced some side effects that are not listed or have any kind of warnings to look for.  Thank you
