My daughter has been on Strattera (40 mg) for about a month. She seems to be doing okay with it. Although it is suppose to maintain a level balance, she seems to be getting sleepy around 1:00PM at school. We give it at 8:00AM. Has anyone had this problem? Has anyone changed the time they take the Strattera to before bedtime to eliminate this type of problem? Also, if taken before bedtime, how is the sleeping at night and the focus the next day affected?
Thanks.
When I took strattera it just alway's made me tired,It never stoped I hated feeling like that, it made me feel like a bump on a log.Except when i would just take it.If you see result's with strattera you would see ten times the result's with any of the other add/adhd medication. However they are stimulent's, properly controlled and distrubeted they are fine for a person to take.My argument is the strattera will alway's do that, and it quite possibly could get worse. Also when add/adhd is not treated to it's full extent there is alway's a part of the person that remain's dorment,-thaat never comes out.I look at it as "not allowing her to be at her full potentiol"
