Yes talk to the doc, I think this is common...you may also want to look at the concerta web page ...this issue is discussed on the site

i have been on Concert now for 2 months.  It has been great but I have noticed that lately the posative effects have slowly gotten less helpful like it is not working as well.  Am I just getting immune to it or is it that I just am used to the new me and don't notice the good effects anymore.  All the negative side effects are gone as well.  The two seem to be related in the intensity of thier effects.  Should I talk to the doc about trying something else or is this just my body adjusting.  Any advise would be helpful.

For sure - in the first 2 months your brain becomes accustomed to the level if its low and you get less and less payback every time you take it.  Same with Adderall and my med dexedrine.  I had to go from 10mg dex to 20 mg 2 months after beginning and have been there ever since thanks to taking 1 week off every 2 months since.  If you can do it - it has a very good benefit.

Check with MD on what to do next.  Since you are getting results I'd say you are not far from a good final remedy!

I often hear about taking a break from the meds.  Is that something that I should be doing?  I am scared to death to do that now that I know what I was living with.  I feel like I have let me boundries down since I am more in control of myself.  I took my meds late today and went through half of the day off of them.  I was a mess and was so mean to everyone.  Also I am already on 54mg of Concerta.  Is that the normal dosage for an adult of 160 lbs?

Also I am a little concerned about my weight loss.  I was 194 when starting this med 2 months ago I am down to 160 now.  It was great at first but I want it to stop before I look sick.  My wife already hates it as it is.  (Women do not like it when you have a slimmer body than them).  I eat 3 meals a day now but eat normal portions and I snack so I am eating.  I used to eat a whole pizza in one sitting so I have definately changed the diet.  But will it slow down.  My work mates call me Lindsay Lohan.

More advice would be great!  Thanks guys!
