When I was on Adderal I had mouth problems too, not so much that I stopped. I only stopped when it stopped working as well as it did in the beginning and I didn't want to up the dose again. I would bite my cheeks accidentally, or my lip. My mouth would get really dry. I would clench my teeth a lot, even when talking. It was annoying.
I am trying exercises from the book Stopping ADHD by O'Dell and that has helped me very much. Maybe they might help you too?
Ok i am sure this is going to sound VERY strange but i have been on adderall for about 3 weeks i started low and i am up to 20 MG 2 or 3 times a day. Here is the problem i have been constantly almost OCD (ish) feeling the need to crack or stretch my jaw/mouth to hte point where i have a bad headache and my jaw hurts all the time. Has this happened to anyone else?? I do have OCD and take Meds for it andi do once in a while do the jaw thing but nothing like what i am doing i am thinking of going off of its because its SOO bad..any advice would be appreciated:)You'll hear about it a lot it seems. It's called bruxism - literally brushing the teeth against each other (grinding). I used to only do it in my sleep - I even got a dental guard for sleeping a couple years ago. Now though during work or other absent-minded times I find myself grinding my left side of my jaw working my 2 canines against each other. So much that I've made a groove in the upper one. My dentist says I should alter when I take my meds to see if maybe I'm catching it at a bad time during the more stressful parts of work. He says people on stims often have grinding/jaw issues. One risk with it is TMJ - a jaw disorder that can be caused by grinding. So watch it and get help from dentist if you need to.I take 40mg Adderallxr a day. I have been "catching" myself clenching my teeth the past couple weeks. I never had this problem before, so I am thinking it is the Adderall. It is not too terrible, but I am still going to mention it to the Dr.
