Mental disorders are not diagnosed often enough in children.  You are a perfect example.

It would be morally wrong to deny my child the diagnosis he needs to enable him to have a decent life. It would be morally wrong to force my child to live through the horrid childhood that I had when I can help him. He still doesn't have it easy, but he has it better than I did. That is morally right.
