All stims the same | ADHD Information

Well, I think the different stims work in different ways with different people.  Some don't tolerate one and switch and do great.  My DD is on concerta 18 mgs a day and has no problem sleeping or eating, so it doesn't react in her the way it does in you.     But did he try adderal to? but they are both stimulants.  I mean during the day its not like I have a lot of energy.  Its that I just cant sleep. I took concerta and I had to stop because of the extreme sleep problems.  I never had trouble sleeping before but when i took that stuff it kept me wide awake even when I was tired.  It also mad me very depressed when it wore off.  So if I took adderal would it have the same sleep effects.

I think they are all at least somewhat different.  Adderall makes me very relaxed and sleepy sometimes.  Everyone has different reactions to different meds.  Maybe talk to your pdoc and try another med if concerta isn't working out - or maybe the dosage isn't right?

Meds or no meds, I have trouble sleeping periodically.  Ambien is my friend.
