Just a pleasure ... | ADHD Information

I wanted to post a positive experience here ... we're 2-1/2 weeks into a medication switch for DS, (which turns out to be 10 mg. Prozac at night, 20 mg. Ritalin LA in the morning, 5-10 mg. Ritalin short-acting after school) and he has been absolutely a pleasure.

School vacation week and we're getting along famously. He's been very creative (you try playing Yu-Gi-Oh character plays with creatures you make from clay ... mom's not so creative!) and interested in things, but also adaptable and able to concentrate, and best of all, not running into every piece of furniture in the house all day long.

You wonder so much with all of this if you're doing the right things, and then come the days when you see your child's true self shine through and you think maybe you're doing okay.

I'm so glad for you.  My experience was very similar.  I actually couldn't believe I could have a 2 way conversation with him during the day.  I found we could do alot more together.  Have fun and enjoy.

Tilly, That is Great for you and your son, that's cool that he knows how to make yugioh charactors out of clay I found out my son's art class is ending today and I can just imagine how he is going to act monday when he finds out no more art class he loves to draw.
