The sex drive evens out in a few months - once you stick to one dosage. I find when I upped from 10 to 20 I had initially no drive - it went away after 3 months. Now I find my drive is absolutely fine! I'm 38 and having better sex than when I was 18 (and it was very good then).
I found that pre-med my drive was high and I also tended to masturbate often (probably due to the daydreaming aspect of ADHD). These days I only masturbate when there's a prolonged period alone. It's nice actually - the drive to get off is on a need-driven basis and is at my command.
I still have the ability to go as long as I want - and the added benefit of staying at the place I want to be and not worrying about the temperature, the tickle on my back, etc. No distractions make it ever so much enjoyable!
Just give it time. Get on one dose for a few months and you'll see it level out. Most times it is short lived and just I think your brain adjusting along with blood flow evening out. I had no erection for about a month (freaked me out) but it came back just fine when I stopped getting anxious about it.

AMEN to that- that's exactly what dex did for sex for me when I first started a few years ago. Quite frankly I screw around with my dose on a weekly basis and can entirely see how sticking to one dose is gonna make things like this for me again. Sweet, thanks for the insight
You're welcome. And certainly - try to find that happy center for the dex as if not what you are essentially doing is tripping on the highs you get from the side effects - not actually benefitting from the true results.
What happens is you get all that adrenaline as your body adjusts - it's the equivalent of constantly scaring your pet over and over - it causes the body to eventually stress out so much you get sick. So do try.
How does dexedrine affect your sex life? I have several different questions on this topic that I want to ask, and first I'll explain my personal experience:
*2x10mg spansules in the morning: despite having horrific insomnia and jackass stupidity I had incredible romps for hours later at night when the meds were 'off'
*1x10mg spansule in morning, 2x10 spansules in afternoon: All time and mental energy focussed on academic/professional/random endeavours, and no interest in getting laid whatsoever
*1x10mg spansule in morning, 2x10 spansules in afternoon, 1x10mg spansule later in afternoon: Somewhat focussed on getting ass, but in true ADD fashion. Also, too much mental excercises to think about it the right way when it should occur more naturally.
So, do you have a doseage that you find is just right for shaggability? Did you find that doseage by having to reduce what you take, and if so was it painful to say goodbye to the increased amount of drugs? And also, is sex better when your meds are on, or later in the day when they're off? I'm a 22 year old male, I don't wanna miss out on this oppurtune time in my life! But at the same time want to ensure my medication adjustment doesn't sacrifice my balanced mindset and abilities. Any input is much appreciated..

ThanksWhen i started on my Adderall (XR 30mg morning, 15mg generic afternoon), my sex drive was through the roof for months.. then the Adderall started giving me anxiety attacks and i was forced to start taking 3mg (3x 1mg per day) of Klonopin.. that halved my sex drive just about (down to taking HOURS to reach climax, not being able to keep an erection going, etc).. In itself not a problem, we coped. Anyways, i recently got Lexapro prescribed to calm me down a bit (even on all those meds, i was still pretty hyper, but the biggest problem was that my temper became totally uncontrollable, and i have quite a temper to begin with). Now, i have sex drive that's fairly normal, however, i cannot for the life of me get to climax.. so, i got some samples from the old doc of Levitra and Viagra.. the Viagra is okay, keeps things eh.. up.. but that Levitra is miracle stuff.. i took the first pill and got a hard-on within 15 minutes (it's not really supposed to do that, maybe an interaction with the other meds).. that hard-on lasted for a few hours and was by FAR the 'biggest' i ever had, down to being painful at times.. the sex was awesome tho ;) .. still no climax tho.. oh well, guess i'll have to cope with that.
