Sometimes I get headaches, sometimes I don't. I figured it's either the Adderall or the Wellbutrin. I'm on 10 mg Adderall XR. My appetite has decreased but only for the first couple of hours that the med is kicking in. Then I get my normal appetite back.
I feel very fortunate that I do not have insomnia. I also take 5 mg regular release Adderall at around 4 pm. But by 10 pm I'm pretty tired. But I also have a heart malfunction which has always made me quite tired by the end of the day.
No other real side effects for me.
My two twin daughters take adderall. They are both eight, one takes half of a five mg tablet per day, the other takes a full twenty. I take ritalin, with similar side effects.
One thing I have noticed is that particularly the daughter that takes the larger dose has become somewhat more irritable and grouchy than she used to be. It may just be a function of growing up. She also has worked her way up to higher doses, and when she doesn't take it (we make a point of not giving them their meds on Saturdays to make sure they can still function without it and don't become dependent), she seems to 'overcompensate'-- that is, she is more flighty than she ever was before she took the meds.
i would really like some feedback on the side effects of adderal. i was recently diagnosed with ADHD and im 20 yrs old. my doctor has started me with a low dosage of adderall (10mg), ive been taking it for 2 weeks and ive noticed a difference in my actions.....im sitting longer at my desk and actually paying attention to things. but ive also noticed im not eating as much as i used to......to the point where im forgetting to eat and im also getting headaches a lot more now....not to mention my inability to sleep. can anyone share some of the side effects they are having from taking adderall......it would be great to relate to someone about it.
