Ever meet an ADHDer in person? | ADHD Information
I'm not very good at picking out the ADHD. They seem normal to me. My wife on the other hand can spot ADHD a mile away. Once she points it out to me I can't miss it though.my mother, father, son, nephew. Talking to them is confusing as hell if you're on meds. Never used to bother me until I got on meds either. It just always seemed normal to me. The rest of the world was the abbynormal ones. actually i cant stand ADHDers, i know WTF??!?!!?OS...
I'm an ADHDer...
I can pick ADHDers a decamile away.
AND I can pick out ADHDer wannabees...

Fat little weeny dog,
Draggin' guts, like a frog.
Needed help, so I gave him,
Another pair, like a twin.
He really likes it, speak I truly,
Cuz it makes him just like a Dually.
He does need to go on a diet, doesn't he?
Or have those puppies, if he's a she...

OMG!...The world is full of them.
They get cool drugs subsidized by the insurance company.
Common in the Yuppy, Yoda, and Dink subcultures.
There are some on this board.
Beware the undiagnosed
common tators.

They're baked in other ways,
but should be mashed.
They often complain the loudest, and hide behind their religions.

a wannabee ADDer???????
they got to be crazy - off to the loony bin, james and don't spare the horses!?!
I just talked to a kindred spirit friend today. We seldom see each other but have always felt a connection. Today we discovered that both of us have recently gone down the ad/hd road with a child.
Then we shared that we both have been fighting the coping war ourselves all of our lives without realizing...
It is simply adhd!
P.S. Hope the weiner dog goes on adderall and loses some weight!
I thought Adderall was a stimulant.
Stimulates your appetite...

Although most claim not to have, I believe most all have.
One or both of your parents...
I was having lunch with my mother today, and somehow we got off on two different topics, but continued communicating as if it were only one.
After several exchanges, I sensed something amiss, and went off into ADHderlandia (The Stare), which caused Mom to pause, look over her shoulder at whatever I wasn't looking at, and she said "OMG!...My sister does that with me all the time!".
So I guess I've met several ADHD/ADDers throughout my life span...
Btw, we had a good laugh about it! Heheheh
I stare n a miror,so I know!
I know so many adhders that I laugh when i make a comment about it because they all say no, I don't have adhd, and i say REALLY, well then i guess maybe you should cause your crazy.....

My best friends husband has ADHD. She tells me that I'm the female version of him and vice-versa
.
Also another very good friend of mine (a woman) has ADHD. I also worked with a woman who has ADHD and a woman who used to do my nails has ADHD.....there may be more....
I can pick up on it pretty easily but these people didn't disclose it to me until I told them that I have ADHD
(so that makes...4 people that I know that have been officially diagnosed...less here of course
)

All too funny....Have a co-worker about 7 years older than I (putting him in the mid-to late fifties range. He used to be a pharmacist, he's done many jobs, many relationships, and he & his divorced wife are under the same roof again. Fortunately they work opposing shifts at same job.
He keeps inquiring whether my Metadate was helping, He said he could see a difference in my behavior. Was asking how I was doing the last two days, having stopped my Metadate last week.
I can clearly see his ADHD symptoms.
Hey David!
Don't trash the wannabees... :-) I was one all my life until I got tested... then I realized I am one :-)

[/QUOTE] I believe both of my parents had/have ADD in some form or other. Growing up I remember getting so many mixed signals and being utterly confused emotionally. Some parts of my life have been a true disaster and some great joy. I have also managed to make a friend that is ADHD. We met by accident when I was working one day. We are both merchandisers. I wonderd why we cliqued so well and so immediately and after knowing him a while it came up in conversation. We were both pleasantly surprised and kind of chuckled when we realized how much we have in common. Of course both of us have our issues in life to deal with as a result and we try to be a support for each other too. It's also great to find a forum where there are people who know where I am coming from. Dee
I know soooo many ADHDers and ADDers.. like 60% of my friends have it :p And I know a bunch more. I also find it very very easy to spot someone that has ADHD.. I also think its easy to differentiate between kids who are just hyperactive and kids who actually have adhd.. there is a big difference if youre experienced in it.. ADD is harder to see tough but there are lots of people I have adviced to at least take a test for it..
