care to help me out? | ADHD Information

I took Ritalin and it made me high, then I crashed into depression. Until my reaction I thought I had ADHD. It wasn't fun.Please don't think that it improves peoples grades, because it doesn't.  I've heard people say this, that aren't really aware of what ADHD is.  It improves concentration, and impulsive behavior but thats it.It depends if you have any other disorders.  I know that it can make tics or tourettes syndrome worse as well as bipolar.  Go to a pharmaceutical website and also try the Physicians Desk Reference.    Well they say its one of the biggest illegal "selling" drugs at colleges because students take it to do better on tests or helps perfromance when studying for finals ect..

There is a study somewhere that these stimulant drugs help all students not just the ones with ADHD.


I took my son's Ritalin20mgSR once by accident at nighttime. I was up all night. My stomach felt a bit sore. I didn't feel well. My head felt funny. I weigh about3 times what he does so i can imagine what it would do to someone his weight who didn't have adhd.

Well, I purposly took my son's Adderall XR before.  We were switching dosages, there were extra, and I was curious to see how it made my body feel.  I am not ADHD.  Altough, sometimes I think I am.  I am not diag. with ADHD. 

I was giving it to my son, I wanted to put it in my body and see it's effects.

It made me feel on cloud 9, it was way more energetic (speed), I talked alot, a moved faster, I was more excited and into what I was doing (yard work outside).  It really made me free "good".  I was happy go lucky.  I would say the best word to describe it was motivated.  I had no bad side effects.

Hey guys! Well I'm dong a project for my Bio. class! its a thesis paper about people with ADHD and ADD and misdignosed people! Theres one question I cant seem to get the answer to!

What happens to people that DONT have ADHD but are givin medication for it?

and I'm a person thats on the border line of having ADHD so I dont need medication for it! so I wanted to see if anyone was willing to help me!? thank you again!What our pediatrician has always said to me is that when ANYBODY gets a stimulant----it helps them with concentration. So---I figured that it wouldn't hurt "normal" people--unless they had side effects.Probably make you feel like you are on speed.  Jumpy, irritable, nervous are some of the things I have heard.Wooooo!!!!  Maybe I need some of that!!!!!
I hope  that there aren't any Druggies reading this!!!!
