MedSex (Sex and Dex II) | ADHD Information
Viagra sucks compared to LevitraI tried both (adderall XR 30mg, Adderall 15mg generic, 3mg Klonopin, 10mg Lexapro = the libido of a neutered dog) and Levitra works wonders, it works for DAYS unlike Viagra's 2 to 4 hours.
My dexedrine at first made my libido (and ability to perform) go away totally. That was for about a month or two. I even went to the MD to talk about it. He told me that it's common to lose interest and ability for a while when starting dexedrine and to wait and see if it goes away normally.
At the middle of month two not only did it come back - but back strong! And performance came back slowly afterwards - now it's just fine.
Like most side effects it takes a month or two to get your system used to it.
There's always viagra!
Does anyone here take a high-ish dose of dexedrine- like in the 30-40mg ballpark- and still have a totally normal sex life/sex drive etc?
I want to keep my dose at 40 mg but I'm not totally sure if I can do it without losing too much interest in the one thing god put me on earth to get; although I think it if I stuck to my dose long enough it might work. Any input anyone?

Personally, I found that Testosterone (yes, I have an open minded doc) works wonders to counteract the SSRI "blues" in that respect - if anything a little too much. At 50+ I have the libido of an 18 year old, and take 30mg of Lexapro (along with 40mg XR adderall).

My doctor is recommending dexedrine. I have an unusally high libido and performance level (not to brag, just an observation) and wonder if anyone else was "above normal" before being on medication and maybe dropped down to normal levels or was it a more complete loss of interest?I can talk pretty much from experience on this one. Pre-med I had high libido and duration. Started on dexedrine 10mg and 3 months into it I found decrease in desire/performance to zero. A month after that though it came back and now over a year later there is no trouble - in fact if possible it's a little higher.
Some people never come back completely so I'm told - but I can say that give it time and it should return (if it goes at all).

I've been told that the loss of libido is only temporary. Lets hope for that. I work out alot - its been an obsession for the past 20 years or so. And yes, that makes me a dirty old horn dog too.

I'm wondering if anyone needs a dose this high....quite frankly, I wonder if Glen has the perfect dose. Of course I'm not a doctor or anything, but the low amount + the normalcy sounds appealing. (And that would explain your smug attitude about your dosage Glen!! Twenty posts a day must mean you're at least somewhat sure of yourself!!

How much are you taking? Is it more than 20 mg a day?
I'm wondering if I should keep up with my 40mg lifestyle. It's been two months; the first two weeks I had a totally high drive, and the last eight I've had next to none (not to mention too many OCD type symptoms!)
This is gonna sound really gay but maybe it has more to do with neurochemistry; I really found that working out and staying fit was what turned me from normal into an insano horn dog the last time before this I started taking dex.

All the ADD/ADHD medication's to that at first untill you get used to it,however dexedrine is the one that is the worst and takes the longest to get used to,however when you do get used to it you perform on it better than riddlen,concerta,adderol,e.t.c. And if you take adderol you are abel to have sex like 3 to 4 times as much as whatever your normel rate is, at least that is how it is for me, you have to practice self-control as much as possibel.
riddlen makes you extremely horny,but concerta dosent do that it all ,
concerta is like as far as sex goes, just as the same as if you did not
take any mdication at all.but remember med's affect everyone diffrent,but a lot of my family is add/adhd. and i know a lot of people that are to and they all agree with me as far as this all goes. &n bsp; &n bsp; Have a good time,and go get freaky!!
