Dont want diagnose but i know i got ADD | ADHD Information
Well pills help you to focus but for only a few hours. Not all day. You still have to go to therapy, change your life style and work on every social skill you got. Pills just help you not to get fired from your day job :(
So it's a full time job and sometimes when your life is really messed up even with pills you can't do anything. So I recommend you to go to therapy first. And research about how to organize your life better. If you put things on track then pills are helpful to help you stay on track.
it took 2 years for me to accept the reality...it takes time. There's no miracle. But eventually you'll feel better.
Mr_focus:
You might see I'm also from Sweden.
First of all, yes there is often a long waiting to get a diagnosis and
they are mostly very careful doing the inverstergation but that is good
cos then they can be really sure they give you the right diagnosis.
Wrong diagnosis often equals wrong treatment and help.
Second: All you have to do to get the driving licens permission is to
have a papper from the Dr that say you can focus much enought to drive
and there's no problem. If you problems to focus are so severe that the
Dr wouldn't wrote that papper, well then you won't be able to get
through the course anyway.
Third: It's not harder for an adult to get meds for AD/HD than
children. What they might suggest is that you also try some strategies
to learn to cope with everything else that AD/HD includes. You see,
they don't only think of you concentration, cos if you have AD/HD you
certainly have more difficultys than only to focus.
I have diagnosis ADHD/ AS, got it -04 when I was 28yo and I have meds but also other help to learn to cope with my daily life.
And hey, to get it illegal through a board like this.... Trust me, it's
not a good idea. First you'r going to have big difficultys to get the
correct dose and you might get side efects you don't expect and some
ppl need to mix different meds to get the best out of it and doing that
on your own.... well... you smart enough to not do that :-)

btw Kul att se en annan svensk här :-)
hi im a guy age 24 and is looking for ways to get ritalin or other stuff i have heard of what it can do to people who are totaly unable to focus and i´m very curious of what efect it will have on me
In my country one of the forms you fill out in the process of getting a drivers license they ask you if you got something that might lower your atention ability.
And the process of getting a diagnose is very long and when you get it, as an adult it is very unlikely they will give you some pills or something to help you focus.
So i put the whole thing on ice because it would be a waste of my time
I recently went to this person who knows alot about add/adhd some kind of shrink or i dont remember what she is called. Who i talked alot to and gave me some forsms to fill out. And she told me alot about these things and it all made sense to me and allmost all of the things in add matched me.
And she to said it´s like 99% likely i got ADD.
I just whant som reply on this or mail that contains any interesting tips for me...ciao
ok so i guess that means
btw cool that there's another swede here :-) ????????
I know... she told me about the strategies,
and all that other stuff than meds, and she told me she could help me with that, even without a diagnosis so im not worried about it.
ISOBEL:
But my big FAT NR ONE is to keep a dayjob... If i would get a job right now i would take whatever i´d get my hands on if it would mean the difference from keeping it or getting fired.
