Job interview today | ADHD Information

Don't know yet.  This company is very thorough and conducts many interviews before hiring.  This was my third interview and I might have two more afterwards.  I'm perfect for the company, so I am sure I will be in there again.  I'll see if I pick up on any other ADHD cues. so today I had a job interview with a young, growing company.  The owners are very young and one of them was participating in my interview.  I'm diagnosed ADHD, but I usually do well in interviews because I pick up on everything: visual cues, word patterns, etc - I can get a feel for my interviewer.  This one, however, was a bit different.

During my phone interview, he was very stern and focused on what we talked about.  He was structured and seemed like a robot.  When we met in person, though, it was different.  I am an animated speaker, so I move my hands a lot when I talk.  I noticed his eyes followed every motion I made.  I could then see his eyes light up and a smile go to his face when I brought up novel subjects.  He kept going on tangents and we started talking about things completely away from his questions.  I began to think, "ADHD for sure."  LOL, then his entire discussion shifted to inquiring about my time managment and self-structure.  It was a big stickler for him that I can do this well.  I thought that was hilarious because that is one of my big ADHD issues and I could completely relate to that.

I also went back and read about the "culture" that they described at the company.  Man, if this dude set up that culture, there is no doubt that he embraces his ADHD and spreads the love to other people.  He was all about entrepreneurship, honesty, hard work, curiousity, etc.  While the company sounded interesting to me before, now it sounds like a club for our kind of people.  Working here will be a hoot!
Did you get the job? Good Luck!!!
