It was one of the first meds in my trial, which lasted no more than two months.

Lithium was used early, too.

But both were contraindicated, b/c I had ADhD.

Not bipolar, tripolar, depression, or resession.

Just a recessive hairline.

So I grew a 'stache.

Anyone here take prozac for depression/ADD? Does it help you?I took prozac and adderall for a while, but my pdoc switched me to lexapro and adderall.  For me it works better.  *shrug.  Can't say that prozac helped with ADHD, but it did help the depression.I take repackaged prozaz marketed as flourexitine (spelling?). Most people
with ADD seem to need treatment for depression as well. When their ADD
holds them back from getting on with life depression sets in.

I am on 20mg Adderall XR and, 20mg Flourexitine. My doctor is moving me
up to 30mg Flo,... soon. Seems I am really really depressed.

I had postpartum depression shortly after I had my daughter and prozac was one of the meds. they put me on.  It really did help in my case.  I was on a lower dosage because I got headaches.  At the time I didn't know I had ADD.  I was on it for about 5 months or so.  For me it was only temporary but it worked well along with counseling to find out the underlying reason for the depression.  Interesting that they didn't catch my ADD back then. 

AddMe, it sounds like you are having a tough time.  So sorry about that.  Have you had some counseling?  It really does help if you find the right person that specializes in ADD/ADHD.  It sounds like you need the counseling along with the meds.  I hope you find something that helps.  I've dealt with depression and know how hopeless it can feel.  Hang in there friend.   Dee I was on Prozac years ago for PMS.  This was before I had realized that I had ADD.  I gave it a long try, the dose was adjusted, etc.  However, it  did absolutely nothing for me.
