sports coordination in your child | ADHD Information

I think it all depends on the kid, my son is a heck of an athlete he bowls, been to state tournament four years in a row, used to play baseball, has been playing soccer since he was five, and did pop warner for the first time last Aug. his team won every game and went to the playoffs. He doesn't struggle in this area at all.I don't ADHD and sports coordination have anything in common.  Thera are a lot of pro's with ADHD.  I think ADHD may make kids better at sports....more energy, ect.Full contact football, only the biggest organization for youth sports in many states and countries. He can't wait until August to start agilities again.what is pop warner?

I just wanted to let parents know that there is an exercise program that can help with sports coordination in your child.

The book Stopping ADHD by O'Dell has exercises that I have been trying with great success.  My memory has improved and my focusing ability.

grmandad has been trying the exercises with his son.  He wrote a very interesting update for us in the thread.  I thought many of you would be interested to read it.

go to the "crawler's unite" thread in the alternative posting section of the board.  At the end of the long thread, you will see his post.

He says that his son is able to stand still at the plate to bat for the first time in 5 years.  I find that amazing! And he has the best batting average this year too! He has been doing the exercises with his son for one month now.

It can give us all hope of helping our children and ourselves with ADD or ADHD.
