Best of Luck to to you and ds Language issues needs attention with Language therapy. Just remember private does not have to give all your child needs since not under same rules as public education. Your childs still can get therapies from public even though in private school. glad u finally have some answers.

Glad you finally got the report. Hope it helps you make progress with your son. I'm sure it all feels overwhelming at this point. Just remember -- you don't have to do it all at once. ADHD is a journey.

Now I am taking it to his regular ped to see where we go from here..... It was alot of reading and some of it I get and some I dont but I am hoping his dr can dicipher (sp?) some of it for me.

Long and short - absolutely ADHD, anxiety disorder - NOS, and mood regulation - NOS. So we at least know that. They did offer some treatment options as well as putting in lots of language to cover the IEP process in case we have to go that route by going into public school ( which they felt might be necessary to get him the accomodations they think he needs) I will try to work with his school first before I go putting him in public - no offense to anyone in the public system - but up until now private has been working for us. Let's hope htye are willing to work on some of the recommendations. One was a tutor to help with his language skills - mostly his ability ot express himself "find the right words" and written language. Another was time management skills through tutoring. They also recommend psychotherapy (individual with family particiaption) and referring back to his beh ped on medication.

So I guess that is what this report has done for us - confirmed the dx, expanded the dx and hopefully sent us down the next path in helping him to cope. FIngers crossed - we will meet his doc in 2 weeks to move form here.

I think this is good we shall see.
