The recommended black box warnings included hallucinations and psychosis.
The earlier report stated "FDA officials say patients and doctors should be aware that the small number of psychiatric events could represent side effects of the drugs, although they cannot point to a definitive link. However, they noted a "complete absence" of similar reports in children treated with dummy pills during dozens of clinical trials of the drugs. In many children, the events ceased once they stopped taking the drugs -- and resumed if they restarted."
They've today since backed away from the risk management advisors suggested black box warnings and appear to want to just warn doctors.
Check out the possible side effects os aspirin. They're scary too. Every drug needs to list all possible side effects, any that have ever been reported, and they all sound scary. You have to weigh the risk/benefits, imo. this is scary stuff! has anyone used natural supplements ifso what and did they work? .IMac38945.8718634259check out the alt med board. remember that natural supplements are just as potent and can have side effects, too. Make sure you talk to your dr about any medication you give your children. There are a lot of meds that are natural agents that are safe, but a dr should always be informed what you are giving them.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11958537/
