New to boardThanks for all the advice you guys have given. We went to the doctor and we are going to try Adderall XR 10mg to see how she does on that. She got her report card yesterday and all her B's went down to D's so we are going to work hard to find the med for her. I am sorry I took me so long to reply back. I am in nursing school and have very little time to do anything enjoyable right now. But again Thanks. She does have a IEP at school and her grades have come up form D's and F's to C's and B's and I really am thinking about putting her back on her meds. We have a dr appt next week. I don't want her to suffer the way she was in school before the concerta. She is going to the 6th grade next year and middle school is going to be more involved and I want her ready. So thanks I will ask the dr about the non-stimulants. And I will also check out the alt med forum. Thankssome "non stims" can cause the same anxiety, too. And can cause a higher level of frustration and severe stomach aches.![]() ![]() So she is not on any meds? You might want to try the alt med board, they have a lot of people that use fish oil and I hear it works wonders. that might help you out. Welcome! Stimulants like Concerta can cause anxiety, which can result in pulling hair out. I'm wondering if you should ask your doc to try a non-stimulant like Strattera or Wellbutrin. In addition, does she have an IEP or 504 accommodations at school?
