Things have been a little crazy, but I am happy to report that Dad has finally signed the permission slip for our son to see the counselor.Well, unfortunately a few days before it got signed our son got into trouble at school. I was told, by my son, that a boy, he previously went to private afterschool care with, hit him in the face. After receiving a note in the mail from the school found out that was not exactly true. My son was also showing alot of aggression towards his Dad and I. He kept saying he needed to talk to the counselor and would just shut down. Refused to go to school last Friday. With that and the note....Dad and I forced him to go to school and immediately went to the school to speak to the principal. (**I had sending the principal emails but had no response.**) After a nice talk with the principal...principal and I kind of put Dad on the spot. After he verbally agreed...went right over to the Family Center and signed the paperwork. After that he and I had a long talk about what to do next.

Well, my son normally goes over to Grandma's house on Fridays. Well, after a week of battle and punishment that didn't go over well. It was decided that playtime at Grandma's would be cancelled and TV and Playstation were removed from his room. (**Grandma did get to eat dinner out with him....she had been out of town for 2 weeks....only grandchild.) Son said he wanted to move out.  Well, after he cried and screamed for almost 1 hour he calmed down.

Decision was made.....family watched TV together all weekend and really spent quality time together. Guess what??? Brought us closer together and no  fights the rest of the weekend.

Son says that he wants to be better and help out more.  (**Hope this lasts!!)

Sending a note to the teacher, principal and counselor today to see what we can do about getting the ball moving with the counselling.

For those reading....never give up hope or faith!!

I thought since Dad is totally against psychiatry/psychology, that my son wouldn't get the help he needs.

PTL!!! I was wrong!!
