I am a parent of an 11 year old boy who has ADHD, and I live in the greater Cincinnati area. I did a Google search but could find nothing. Perhaps my support groups is through message boards, but it would be nice to have local meetings I could attend with people who know the school systems, etc. Thanks!I would try state and/or local chapter of CHADD and the Learning Disabilities Association of America. Large state adoption agencies often have groups, as well, but they may or may not be open to the general public. Ask your doctor for the name of the parent advocate group in the area. Those include support groups ususally.I had asked my daughter's therapist recently, and he had suggested checking with the Area Education Agency.CHADD is the only one I know of if they go in your area. I wanted to be involved in Chadd but there are no groups near me closest is New York, I am in Buffalo little good.
