There was a thread a while ago in the off topic room where we talked about a vacation like that. If they went, they left without me. I'm ready!
Yes, I need a vacation. I haven't been away in over two years. I just want to sleep and eat a meal while it's hot. Drink a margarita or two wouldn't hurt either.

As much as a nice sandy white beach between my toes with no one around but a cabana boy to bring me fruiity drinks and a beefy guy to give me a massage sounds...(golly no I havent given it any thought...ohhh and one of those ocean side pools to boot!) I think I would enjoy ditching the kids and dragging the old man with me. We have a lot of fun. We have been taking off at least one weekend every 3 months and staying at nice hotels. We are buying a fifth wheel camper soon and hope to make the weekends away every 2 months in that.
We will be dtiching the kids again the first weekend in May! Thank god for Grandparents trying to buy thier way into heaven!
piggirl38818.344837963Im in, I need one bad. Not only do I deal with my little munchkin who can be a handful but I deal with her father too. Only difference only one is treated on meds and is a child to boot, the grown up is in the process of getting a referral. And the two of them mix like oil and vinager sometimes too much alike and i feel like the referee. The low patience level is when i want to scream.

Yes a "mental" vacation is much needed right now. Not planning a "real" vacation until July. Wow...a nice fruit drink sounds absolutely wonderful along with the cabana boy. Alone with Dad...no cell phones (for all of the children to try to interrupt the sound of the waves...no computers....loving it!!!
Hmmm - I would not mind a weekend away with my husband. I live near the ocean so I wouldn't mind going to a nice green forest with a log cabin and fire place.
Spending a weekend like this with no-one but my husband is the holiday of a lifetime for me.
Oh well, no harm in dreaming ......

I need one after the last couple of days I have had with my son. I love him so much but this is killing me! I need a vacation to some remote island and just lay on the beach all day and not have a care in the world! Wouldn't that be nice!
