How do I tell. | ADHD Information

Hi, Im reading through some of these posts, and im wondering how i can tell if my child has a problem, She is 6 yrs and really flighty,not much concentration, shouts and screams if she cant have her way ,or if she thinks no-one is taking notice of what she is saying.behaves really bad in shops if cant have what she asks for . and some times bites and kicks.etc...  Am i being a bad parent and is this down to me .or could there bea problem. and if so where do i go for help because i have spoken to educational psycologists and doctors, the school.what or who can help. ?THe best professional for diagnostics is a NeuroPsych. Sounds like something is going on, but not necessarily ADHD. A NeuroPsych can diagnose ADHD and beyond and takes a lot of time with your child, unlike many other professionals. Most just listen to you and hand out a pill. NeuroPsychs do a lot of intensive testing to try to nail exactly what is going on. Trust me, I've been through the diagnostic mill and had many wrong diagnoses. You can find NeuroPsychs at Childrens and University Hospitals or ask a regular Neurologist for a referral. A regular Psycologist will probably miss it and even a Psychiatrist may. That's my recommendation. Good luck! Thanx for the advice hun. I will speak to one . Thax again.xx
