Wellbutrin | ADHD Information

I am taking Wellbutrin with Concerta and it has been extremely helpful.  Not to be too descriptive but I had a certain side effect from the antidepressent that i was on that make me not want to be active if you get what I am saying.  The doc gave me wellbutrin to counter some of the side effects at a low dose.  It not only took care of that it helped with the ADHD. Well, since my son is 8, I hope it doesn't do that.I hope so too!    I have two little girls and the thought of that makes me want to go to Academy and buy a shot gun and ammo.  God I feel bad for thier future boyfriends, they have no idea what they are in for.Has anyone heard of Wellbutrin being used with Strattera?  I know someone who was very successful with this and was curious.I was on that combination for several months. I have switched off of the strattera and am now taking Focalin with Welbutrin. I've had no problems with the Welbutrin. But I had horrible side effects with the Strattera. Headaches, nausea, insomnia,  just to name a few.
Strattera worked good for a while, but then it started making me really tired. The funny thing is I have no trouble sleeping on Focalin, even though it's a stimulant.
Go figure.   My son takes Wellbutrin w/ Adderall, and it is working great for him.  No side effects at all.

I've had BIG TIME problems with the combination.  I've been on the combo 15 months and I had to stop cold turkey because my B/P+P were through the roof.  Either drug is fine but I did a search on drug.com that has a search engine for drug interactions.  I did not understand all the terminology but I forwarded it to my shrink who sounded truly concerned.  I don't know if it has a similar affect on a child.

The Straterra did make me sleepy at first and nauseous, but that subsided after a couple of weeks.  I have a very low tolerance for medications and had to top off the Straterra at 40mg.  Anything over that dosage combined with Wellbutrin 300mg XL and began to stutter and have major anxiety.
