I know this topic has been discussed before, but I can't find it. Sorry for asking again. My doc has just switched me from Adderall Xr to regular Adderall (at my request because of expense). The first time I filled it, I got the generic (Barr) and it sucked! So I called around to 8 pharmacies to get brand and none of them stock the brand. They said they could order it for me, but would take a week and I needed it then. I finally found one pharmacy in this whole city who does, got it, and it's like night and day. Why would a pharmacy not stock the name brand of a drug that is as popular as Adderall? Has anyone else had this experience? Also, has anyone found a generic brand other than Barr that works pretty decent? And for those that do take regular instead of XR, do you usually take one in the morning and one in the afternoon? Just 2 a day or 3? He gave me enough of them that I can take 3 if needed, just wondering what anyone else's experiences were. He said take it if I need it and don't if I don't. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance.
