Is this a high dosage?? | ADHD Information

Thanks, TillyT.11 year old grand-daughter, 84 lbs. has been on 20 mgs of Metadate CS twice daily for over a year.  Was just raised to 30mgs of same twice a day.  If we see too much nausea or unable to sleep we are to drop back to the 20mgs.  Is the 30mgs twice daily a very high dosage, or does this sound about right.  Any familiar with this drug and dosages, please let me know.  ThanksIt's all dependent on the individual, but this doesn't sound excessive to me. Good luck!

Is it working?

my son was on concerta and the doc kept increasing the dosage...it turns out that this was not the best medication for my son..we switched to Adderall and he is doing much better..same dose for a few months now with a lower dose on weekends

Just started her yesterday so we can't really tell yet.  Hope it does the trick.  She did really well emotionally on Stratera but we had to take her off it as she was bruising like a rotten banana.  Pediatrician and Psychiatrist said it's real hard on the liver so they took her right off of it (took about 5 months before we really began noticing that something was terribly wrong - the bruises looked like she was hit by a truck!!).  She never did well on the stimulants that's why we were so happy with the Stratera in the beginning.  She did, however, after two weeks, adjust well to the Metadate CD, so I'm hoping the extra 20mgs. per day will do the trick.  Thanks for replying joemom.
