At last managed to see a doctor here in the UK, who agreed that my diagnosis of ADD was "secure", although we didn't discuss sub-types.
He wants to start me on Ritalin, although I am still a little uncertain about whether or not I will be able to get this on our NHS, as it is not licenced for adults here in the UK.
Although I'm immensely relieved to at last have an explanation of all the problems which have been holding me back (I'm 29), I am also angry at just how difficult it has been to get the right diagnosis - let alone treatment.
I am happy that you are feeling a bit of peace by getting your diagnosis ideaspring. I enjoy the word "secure" that was used for your diagnosis. Sounds almost military! - lol
