Does anyone know if Adderall is used more for treating adults or for treating children? According to their website it is approved for treating children, teens AND adults - http://www.adderallxr.com/adult_adhd/index.aspI am no authority on the subject and everybody is different but my overall impression from the boards is...
Ritalin is preferred over adderall for kids because it tends to interfere with their appetite less.
And for adults, adderall seems to work better than ritalin because it lasts longer.
As soon as I say that, it doesn't apply to a lot of people. Guess that is why so many people have to try more than one med.
My husband (36years old) has been given Adderall for his ADD.
