Hi Everybody,
I'm new to this whole thing here and just registered to begin posting. I'm a nervous wreck over my son. He's 12 years old and began taking Concerta in August. We believe he's having side affects like high blood pressure. So I took him off of it immediately and now he isn't using anything. My husband and I have resisted meds for so long and we finally gave in this past school year. So I'm researching other medications. I wish there was some "miracle drug" with no side affects. He has been doing excellent academcially but we would rather have him healthy and mediocre grades. It's been a long road and I worry so much about him. COLOR=MAGENTA

Welcome!!  But, unfortunately, I don't think there is such a "miracle drug".  My son will also be 12 next month.  He is currently on Adderall XR 30 mg.  Everyone reacts differently to each med.  I know of people that don't have side effect from one med and others that do.  We're all unique in our own special ways and its a matter a finding the med that works best for him.  Good luck.
